A few minutes to spare is a few minutes to catch up on some long lost journal writing. Lets see... Stayed up till about 5 last night and then got up at 7, because I had some frustrations on my mind that I just needed to get off my chest. And I do feel a lot better now :) Im debating whether to go to the senior ball or not. Its 175 dollars, and as much as I would love to get dressed up and be the center of attention for a night, Im not sure if I want to go 175 dollars badly. I dont want to NOT go and regret it, but I also think there will be lots of other nights to hang out with those same friends who will be there. Any thoughts? Im stuck. Bids go on sale next week and I need some help making up my mind.
Still havent gotten my TMBG tickets--mainly because Im not sure if Ans is going yet, and Id hate to go alone. Stolfi may come but I dont suppose that she has a ticket yet either. So busy...
My squid project is going well, but its being presented a week from tomarrow and I wish it was done already so that I could spend all week on physics and practicing the project.
I ran into Hunter today, not surprisingly near his house, but I havent spoken with him since the summer (when he lived in the apartment above me) so it was neat to run into him. Mr. Alabama. Please help us.
M.E.A.T.P.I.E. + Y.O.U. = F.U.N.
its not an acronym but it arose in the library. You know, theres a guy out there with a photo chronology about how to make a meatpie. And then he frosts it. Need I say more???
I have a few palancas that I think need to be written. I can't wait for the summer, and yet I fear it at the same time.
Weathers needs a story. A real one though.
I skipped my office hour for PSO today to have lunch with Pete, Carlin and Spencer. Spencer was disgusted that I was wearing Patchouli. Most people give compliments on the smell. I like it, its very earthy.
Its raining and Im going to work soon. I have some ice cream scooping to do. Payday is tomarrow, but it would be great if it was today AND tomarrow.
I watched a whole lot more of the State tape last night, I even crossed into the foreign realm of a few skits that I had not seen before. However, when I come to the color bars and monkey noises close captioned I always think of how hard Ansley laughed when he first saw that. I think that almost makes it funnier.
In the cafe today, Pete was telling me and Carlin about his Philly trip for Habitat last year, and he couldnt figure out why I was staring at him funny. PETE! I was on your trip. Nice to be rememebered, isnt it? (yes, sarcasm)
HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Philly cheesesteaks in the caf today. Good stuff.
I know my thoughts are random today.
Peace to you.

Ok, so I am back, again with a few minutes before lunch. I realized something today. Peter=Bill and not the other way around. For some reason, I was thinking about the both of them and decided that they are more or less fundamentally the same with a few differences that arise from chance. I wonder if this means something. I don't think Ill be calling Peter "Peterdude" though because it certainly doesn't have quite the same ring :). Therapeutic Riding started up this weekend and its great to be back. I get to pick up my "senior packet" this week....whatever that is, and cap and gowns are soon to follow at the end of April. I still hate physics and may enlist Ansley after all for some help. I was up in Worcester last Saturday for a better than ezra show and it was pretty damn sweet. Hung out with Dave, Jeff, Ans and Hans although I didnt see Jeff much because he was working at the show. I got some sweet pics back though of me with Ans, me with Dave, and me with Jeff. Had my Habitat kids over for dinner last night and Dalila saw Ans picture and flipped. It was cute. I actually cooked---I made mint choc cake from scratch, sweet and sour chicken, rice and HOMEMADE PIZZA. YUM! I will never go back again! I am having so much fun with the symbiosis project. The thought of the presentation itself sucks, but the material is so fascinating, its great! It snowed today on the last day of March. I did laundry this morning and realized there is a great sense of peace to being up before the rest of the campus. I may try going to bed a lot earlier to ensure that I can be awake for 630....we shall see how long this lasts. Battling a nasty cough this week and so Im not running, but hopefully will be back in gear soon...

I am so happy right now I could go run a marathon. Ok, maybe not. But Im still pretty damn happy. I just finished my Americorps Application and sent it off. There will still be bits to do here and there for it, but the bulk is done. I had been struggling with the personal statement for a while and its DONE! What a load off my back! In other news, I got two letters in the mail today which rocked... one from Brian and one from Jessica. YAY. Tomarrow is the concert for recorder ensemble and I am a little nervous because 1) I havent had a concert in Guzman Chapel before with only three other people 2) Anything involving recorder means there is a huge chance that we will bust out laughing in the middle of the song. (And we all know you cant play recorder when you are busy laughing!) I am opening up at work tomarrow, but just until one. I need to get a few extra hours in anyway so it really works. Have a few birthdays this month which I must remember! CRAZY!! Life in general is going well. Got some awesome hugs today. Got a big squeeze from Sean, and I got a running one on Pat, and Stolfi of course always gives great hugs. Got one from Car too. Theres a lot to be said for a good solid hug (none of this wimpy stuff). Im waiting to see what the next "TODD FACT" will be. How could he possibly beat the fact that he can juggle and eat at the same time? The world may never know. :) ***SMIRK***Now that Im done with all that application stuff I think Im going to kick back, relax, watch some FAMILY GUY and write my friends from home some good ol' letters!
:)
Peace. And I mean it. On that note, there was a teach in the other night and I couldnt go! I was so bummed!

I remembered one of my dreams from last night. I love when that happens. Last night, I had a dream that I was going to see Josh Groban in concert, and my dream ended with having my face groped by a blind Josh Groban (because in my dream he was blind like Andrea Bocelli). I love dreams. Its been another exhausting week. Habitat stuff is finally falling into place. My roomate has me all worked up about the senior formal and who I am going to ask. I have a few people in mind, but Im really not sure. I dont want to be turned down, and I want to go with someone I will have a lot of fun with. Went to the library party again tonight. Carlins "buddy" was there with good ol' CP which cracked me up. Went to work tonight, Angela came to visit so I felt lots of love. I hadn't seen her in a while. I really hope Charlie comes to lunch tomarrow.
BILL IS HOT. ok, i put that in because he promised me he would read this. So this is his test :) But he is anyway , so its ok.
Were talking about the Fairfield race again in the emails. Im so gonna kick Jakes ass from here to the moon. (I hope).
Muchos work to do!!
:)

What a day. After a delightful four day weekend I managed to sleep through my classes this morning with little to no guilt, making it officially a five day weekend. I slept ten hours last night so I shouldnt be tired but I am. Tired and not focused. I am feeling restless, ready to abandon all things known and head for the open seas. Figuratively, of course. Need to seperate myself. Was supposed to head for NYC this weekend but I had forgotten about prior commitments to Special Olympics as well as a recorder ens. rehearsal. DOH! Feeling some guilt about never visiting my friends at other schools. DOH! Ans will be down at Brown this weekend for some heaving duty debating, so I will go cheer him on if I can. Broke my cd player. Need to take it apart and maybe fix it. On the list. Come give me a hug because thats what I need today.

Ok, Im back and ready to kick some ass. Ill start by saying it snowed yesterday, which may well be the understatement of the year. We have well over a foot here in Providence and its gorgeous. Not to mention, school was canceled today, as well as yesterday which rings this week in with a beautiful four day weekend. :). Last week, a bunch of us went to Crazy burger for Allies birthday. YUmmmmmmmmmy. Friday night was dinner at India, with Todd, Allie and Peter. Spending Valentines Day with friends was great, because it was just like having a date, but without any pressure. And the boys were perfect gentlemen of course. Saturday, I worked all day, but kicked back and relaxed at an 80s themed Cowl Party. MMMMMMMMMMMMMM fun. And the keg was stolen at the end of the night, also extremely entertaining. Yesterday, I finally had some time to take out the paints again and make beautiful things. I watched Josh Groban in concert on DVD and made chocolate chip pancakes with Sara. I slept late this morning, and am basically inside for the day, doing laundry, cleaning, schoolwork, relaxing, and watching a movie about the aids crisis in the early 80s on tv. HMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. And recorder ensemble seems to be cursed because our last three rehearsals have been canceled. This kind of stinks because we have a concert on Mar. 1st. Crap. All is well though, I even got some letters written yesterday. Good to catch up on that kind of stuff. Sometimes its nice when you know you are trapped inside and are forced to relax. Happy Presidents Day +1. I also realized today that I have the song Fernando by Abba on CD which is just rockin.

Im back. And back with what you ask? Hmmmm, short red hair. Yes, short. Thats what I did before work today, went downtown without an appointment to try and find a cheap haircut. And I got one, and its beautiful, but I waited about an hour and a half for it. I learned some really grutesque things about spotted hyenas today in bio class. Saw Celtic music here somewhere and it rocked. I wanted to buy the CD and support the guys for rockin my afternoon but the cd was $18 and that just wasnt happening tonight. Its almost Friday which rocks as well. I can't wait. Actually, Im probably a little too excited :). I had a dream that I made peace with Turk last night. Wierd. Going to the library tonight for the usual "party" that must ensue there. And Todds head is fuzzy. And I need more time for my livejournal. Oh yes, and my boss finally gave me a donation for the Habitat trip! However, the most amusing part of my day was finding a card in my mailbox, opening it to read on the outside that Im one of those friends whose presence blesses the lives of my friends, and I felt so loved and touched, and opened it and saw it was a birthday card ( and my birthday is not in Feb.) Turns out it was a birthday card for the OTHER megan with my name. Oh well, Ill still pretend it was for me :)
Peace.

Its Friday afternoon and its snowing a buttload in Providence. Rumor has it classes were canceled after 2 pm but that seems highly ineffective to me. Had a physics test, rocked it (maybe). Must be the hair. Dyed my hair red. Crazy, eh? Under the influence of stress. Seth is around town this weekend visiting his girlfriend over at RISD so we might hang out tomarrow. Working a bunch and running a 5 mile race on sunday somewhere in Mass. Went to WDOM tonight and hung out with Car and Stolf at their radio show. Eddie Murphy set. Brilliant.
Peace to all.

Got the senior pic taken, 6 regular, 2 with cap and gown. Im frightened. Ran into the notorious Sean and Dan down at WDOM on the way back. Wanted to stay and hang out for the whole show, but no can do today. Will be a late night as is. So...Stayed for a minute than headed back here in the rain. But I figure, there are lots more Tuesdays to come. (and Wednesdays and Fridays for that matter)
Regarding the list:
1)taken, as far as I can see, and thus out of the question. 2)single, adorable, can't do it, running swiftly to the friendship zone (which is still pretty cool) 3)probably would never admit it 4)might be too young, but tall is always good. Probably would never admit this one so much after vehemently denying it. Technically, not even on the list yet, but will be soon enough Im sure 5)Piano II? Im impressed. But overall, no.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Recorder ensemble. I cant even say it with a straight face. For half a credit though, why not? :)

Ok, I am finally alive and here and posting again. Its been a busy weekend, what can I say? Went out on Friday to Riras with Chris (no comments from the Peanut Gallery please), worked on Saturday, Saturday night went to Worcester to watch the State with Ansley, who laughed so hard that 1) I thought he would choke on his calzone 2) I thought he would bust open and 3)I thought he might stop breathing. The state is just really THAT good! Also went ice skating down Florence Street that night. Can't beat that. Took me twice as long to get home that night. Sunday was parents weekend and the parents came up and went to mass. Stolfs fam, Cars fam and my fam all went out to lunch at Greg's, home of the infamous chocolate cake which I found out about later. Note to self: stop there one afternoon and bring a piece home. Had my concert which rocked. I got nervous and wasn't playing up to par, however, I had so much energy afterwords I thought I would fly. Car got flowers for me, which rocked, and I was psyched because SO many people I know came to see me and Allie. Stolf, Car, parents, Todd, Peter, Manny and so forth. YAYYYYYYYY. Its a long week this week, have a physics test on Friday, so this just might be the last post for the week unless for some reason, time finds out how to grow on trees. Dude, and last night, dinner with the delicate flower. Mission accomplished. What a sweet kid, if only he'd open up a little. And by open up I mean TALK. Hes plagued by sister gail though. yikes. Went swimming last night too. (Again, no comments from the Peanut Gallery please). Swimming is so relaxing. I LOVE IT! I missed the library party last night. Damn it. I feel like writing another rap for Car, but Im all rhymed out.
****
The other day I was wondering why I like to be so busy. And then I thought: maybe its because Im lonely. But that can't be it, right? Cant be!
****
Today is senior picture day. SENIOR PICTURE. As in, one more step on the way to admitting youre graduating this year Meg.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Ok, done.

Its Friday....wohooooooo! Survived all classes this week and only have a lab left to go. Went to Cup of Joes last night, and played some crazy Scrabble there. I think we invented a whole new language for ourselves. Norfrey used the song "who let the dogs out?" as an example of musical phrasing this morning. Ive been scarred for life. Getting nervous about the concert this weekend. Getting excited about THE STATE PARTY! Ansley is a State Virgin. Clearly the situation has to be attended to before it gets any worse. In other news....there is none!
Peace.

Today rocked. I love days that rock. Granted, its 1 am, the library is closed, the library party is over (sad, sad, life)and Im back in my room and getting ready for another few hours of hard work and angel postings for bio. Ok, it is now somewhere around 3 am and I finally finished some symbiosis. All thats left is physics but I might just get up in a few hours and finish that off. Might have to resort to coffee tomarrow. COFFFEEEEEEEEE> YUCK. ok, what else. Mr. Delicate Flower. Managed to sustain a conversation there today. I wish that kid would just open up. Not that there is anything wrong with quiet, I should know that...but....were good people, ya know? He will come around I think. Finally ran into my faculty hero today. Everyone should have a faculty hero. I just happen to have several. :). I like all of my faculty heroes because I talk to most of them on a regular basis. Knowledge is power, and knowledge comes from communication. Its amazing how clear things are when you are half asleep. But thats a good thing to have people you admire and hope to be like some day. WONDERFUL. Caps letters are better sometimes. The Habitat meeting went well tonight and there was lots of left over brownies and muffins which I pawned off on the boys next door. They are so good to us, always offering to get rid of any extra food that we should happen to have. Damn it. More to write, but time to finish up the work and get some sleep before I keel over. YAY. Happy in spite of occasional mass confusion.
Megs
PS. As I finish writing this, I go out into the common room to have a chat with my roomate. As I do this, I hear sketchy noises coming from Claires room. Claire, still drunk, gets up to use the bathroom and decides to go STARK NAKED. Way to go Claire. Believe me, it was the funniest thing going on around here in a while. But I think Im scarred for life now. I just saw more nakeddness than I care to....unless of course, its me thats getting some :)
Peace Love and Dont throw away food.

Essentially, what I learned this morning was a complete side thought by the professor to the class. Did you know that the guy who owned Einsteins brain was so paranoid about it being stolen that he used to carry it around with him everywhere in a jar? He eventually got so intense about it that he took the brain and sliced it into pieces and sent pieces to different colleagues of his, so that if something should happen to his piece of the brain, it would still exist in a piece somewhere else. Its like it was the doods good luck charm! And I thought I had problems. Actually caught Shark online today from Australia. That girl rocks. It also snowed again a little bit this morning. Perhaps that means work will be slow tonight. Quite frankly thats FINE with me. I'm still working on the Plague (Camus) and A World History of Salt (Kurlansky) and A Botany of Desire (Pollan--native of CT!). I tend to read several pleasure books at once. I am most excited though about the next book on my list: HOW THE IRISH SAVED CIVILIZATION. That will be an incredible book no doubt!

Now honestly when I read what Ang wrote I thought she was going to be referring to running, because there is something with the color yellow. The guy with the yellow shoes, which clearly were responsible for making him run fast, and today no less, a different guy with yellow hair (and I dont mean blond, I mean YELLOW)whos hair clearly made him run fast as well. And heres my day in a nutshell. Class, class, class. Run. Class. Choir (YAY) and then I went swimming which might just have been the best part so far. Relaxing and straining at the same time! I love it. I ran into a few people I know down at the pool too... Started talking about the trip to Italy in Choir, sounds like we are going to be singing some awesome pieces over there. And the orchestra concert is SUNDAY....AHHHHHHHH. I have to start practicing. Have my cell phone on for once tonight. Not a very useful cell phone but I am not easily assimilated into the world of technology. A note to ANGELA: MY SWEATSHIRT. The reference to it being "yours" if you will was referring to the article of clothing as a contrast to mine, it was not indicative of possesion.
Another note to Angela: Want to tip a coffee table upside down and go down some stairs ? :)
I really am procrastinating.

Another official library party has passed. And another day has begun. I really hope that Stolf and Car take the oppertunity to join into this whole shenanegan. Another "delicate flower" day has passed, that plan seems to be working out quite well. Im making some brownies tonight for the Habitat meeting, yuuuummmmmmmy. Piano class was entertaining as usual, today we learned the values of notes. 2 quarters= 1 half and so forth. Nice basic math. However, we have no quite yet learned how to read the staff. It will come. I was the only slacker in the class today that didn't have a practice sheet to hand in...WHOOPS! So, recorder ensemble. Im still thinking about that one, joining might involve giving up any pride I have left :) but it could be fun. Actually, I know it would be fun because Car and I just might get out of control. On that note, I have yet to clean the cans out of the back of my car, BUT the good news is that I have decided precisely what to do with them! In substitution for the arizona tea blue glass, I am going to try and cut up the cans into little pieces so that they make wind chimes of some sort. Still need fishing line though...any takers? The brownies, some studying and a massive letter writing undertaking are calling me.
PEACE
